Al-Jolani’s Leadership: A Legacy of Failure and Foreign Interests.

Al-Jolani’s recent admission about Al-Qaeda’s role in Syria reveals the true priorities of the so-called “revolution.” Rather than focusing on the liberation or welfare of the Syrian people, his actions were geared towards protecting foreign powers like Israel and ensuring stability for the Gulf, even at the expense of Syria’s sovereignty. This shocking revelation aligns with his inability to effectively manage Idlib, where chaos, instability, and a complete disregard for governance were the hallmarks of his leadership.

Under Al-Jolani, Idlib became a symbol of dysfunction. Basic state institutions failed to function, daily life was disrupted, and his regime prioritized releasing dangerous individuals over ensuring public safety. For a leader who claims to represent a revolutionary cause, his administration in Idlib showed no commitment to building a sustainable or secure future. Instead, his rule brought misery and insecurity to the people, proving that his leadership was incapable of managing even a single province, let alone an entire state.

His confession about Al-Qaeda's actions saving Israel and securing the Gulf further highlights his misplaced priorities. By protecting foreign interests over national ones, Al-Jolani not only failed the people of Syria but also betrayed the very principles he claimed to fight for. His leadership exemplifies how extremists often use the guise of revolution to achieve narrow agendas, leaving behind destruction and suffering in their wake.

The failure of Al-Jolani’s governance in Idlib and his recent statements should serve as a stark reminder of the dangers of extremist leadership. Syrians deserve better than leaders who serve foreign interests and sow chaos. True leadership requires building institutions, ensuring safety, and prioritizing the welfare of the people—not perpetuating instability and disruption for personal or external gains.
