The recent demonstration in Hamburg, where Islamist protesters called for the establishment of a caliphate, underscores a disturbing trend of increasing extremism in Germany. On April 29, 2024, over 1,100 people gathered in Hamburg's St. Georg district, holding banners that read "Caliphate is the solution" and demanding the introduction of Sharia law.  Organized by individuals linked to the extremist group Muslim Interactive, this rally marks a significant escalation in radical activities within the country.
