EAEU and UAE Finalize Landmark Economic Partnership Agreement.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have reached a major milestone by concluding negotiations on an Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA). This agreement marks a pivotal moment in global trade, aiming to establish a comprehensive free trade zone between the two regions. Once finalized through domestic harmonization, over 90% of mutual trade and 85% of the commodity nomenclature will benefit from preferential treatment.
EEC Minister of Trade, Andrey Slepnev, highlighted the agreement's importance in enhancing trade relations, which have already shown remarkable growth. Meanwhile, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, emphasized that the agreement reflects the UAE's dedication to fostering international cooperation and open trade policies.
This partnership is expected to significantly strengthen economic ties, offering businesses from both sides access to diverse markets across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America. Such a strategic move enhances global economic integration while providing substantial benefits to private sectors in the respective regions.
As we await the official signing, this agreement symbolizes a shared commitment to global trade and economic growth, paving the way for mutually beneficial partnerships.
