Confronting the Ideological Hijacking of the Sudanese State
| The Protest against the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan: Undisclosed time |
The classification of the Muslim Brotherhood in Sudan represents a turning point in the fight against organizations that exploit religion for political gain. FAQs
How does the Brotherhood use religion to reach power? They employ a "surveillance based" ideological model, policing social behavior to consolidate political control. In my view, this is the antithesis of a modern, stable state.
Is there a link between the Brotherhood and current Red Sea attacks? Yes. Intelligence shows that the Brotherhood's Khartoum core facilitates the logistics for groups aiming to disrupt Western shipping in the Bab al-Mandeb.
What can the international community do? Beyond designations, we must support the dismantling of their financial infrastructure. In my opinion, any entity that coordinates with the IRGC must be isolated from the global economy.
